What Is This Blog About?
On January 1st 2010 I started posting one original painting or drawing a day for an entire year. Mixing my love of Fly Fishing with my Painting, the posts are centered around the subject of flies, fish, and the art of Fly Fishing. On December 31 2010 my mission ended but my love of catching fish and painting them lives on. So this blog lives on even if the posts are not updated daily. Fly Fishing Art with Fishing reports and Gear reviews, this blog is your source for all things fishy.
If you enjoy fly fishing and the art of the fly or fly tying, I hope you enjoy this blog. Most of the paintings posted here are for sale as well as the Fish Prints so if you are interested in any of the art here please Email me at jmdjdejong@gmail.com for details or just visit the BUY A FISH PRINT page.

That first photo says so much.
Frame that one and keep it forever.
Well done
I 2nd Brk Trt...frame that...definitely a weekend well spent!
I think I will never be able to sleep again and may have just peed a bit in my pants just hearing that scarry story Delaney came up with...I mean stealing smores...some people don't even have a soul.
Really nice pictures, glad you had a chance to get out with the family.
Maybe your daughter would be willing to do some guest posts, telling her scary tales for us all to enjoy...
Great post!
Just a big smile post.
the photo of the kids is priceless. Love it.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comments. Definitely going to remember that camping trip for a while. The things kids come up with are just hilarious! The topper was that she told the story with her flashlight under her chin and ended it with 'amen'. My wife and I were rolling around laughing for ten minutes. Moments like that are what its all about.
Great pics son. Love the write up. Brings back so many memories. Yellowstone trout fishing is one of my best memories of fishing with you. They were big.
Looks like you had a great weekend!
