Ahhhhh one of my favorite patterns, the bead head soft hackle I use pt for the body and no tail or peacock, what about the rib, its gonna fall abart without some ribbig, maybe theres some clear mono burried up in there somewhere. Is that a scud hook or a standard wet nymph, straight shank down eye?
Awesome drawings man keep em coming, hope you dont mind some out da box thinking and comenting from me.

Mmmmm. This illustration probably wont hook a fish so I left the ribbing out but your right, it would more than likely only last for a few hits before it falls apart. As for the hook I can suggest a few realy good recipe sites if your interested but judging from your glass PT on your blog you could probably help me in my tying. (Great Fly by the way). I think Ive only ever fished a down eye hook for this type of fly though.
I have only been fly fishing for 6 or 7 years and through this blog a day post I hope to force myself to learn more about the art, so out of da box is good. It gets me to read, learn, tie, and fish more.
